Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in El Salvador Q4 2021

During the fourth quarter of 2021, the carpooling and ridesharing landscape on the Android platform in El Salvador was marked by interesting trends among the top five apps. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 7.7K in mid-October and again in mid-December. Despite some fluctuations, the app maintained a stable number of weekly active users, ending the quarter with approximately 103K.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads in mid-December, reaching about 5.5K. Weekly active users showed a general upward trend, peaking at over 314K in mid-December before slightly declining to around 276K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver exhibited a steady rise in weekly downloads, culminating at approximately 3.2K in the final week of December. Weekly active users also increased consistently, peaking at around 12.6K by the end of the quarter.

Uber Lite maintained modest download numbers throughout the quarter, with a slight peak at 445 in mid-October and another in late December. The active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 23K and 28K.

Picap experienced significant variability in downloads, peaking at 590 in mid-October. The app’s active user base saw a gradual increase, reaching a high of 840 in mid-December before declining to 636 by the end of the quarter.
